Lock Nut Cylinders, spring return

The force of the spring will push the piston back to its bottom position in the cylinder.

This cylinder has on the piston a locking nut that can be screwed down to the cylinder as the piston is pushed out of the cylinder and mechanically prevent the piston to return in the cylinder.
